Buy One, Subvert The Mass Media, Get One Free entries, 2003/04:

September 2004 - Phill Jupitus in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Friday 3 September:

A nice attempt, but Mr Jupitus doesn't win a prize because it has to be a national publication.

April 2004 - Adam Laurie on Click Online (15th April, BBC World):

Life's "one long catwalk" for the UK's foremost bunker-dwelling bluesnarfing enthusiast...

October 2003 - Exhibition at Access Space, Sheffield:
(not really a media appearance, I know - I just didn't have anywhere else to upload the pictures)

July 2003 - Iain Lee on "Big Brother's Little Brother" (11th July, C4):

Blimey, it's TV's Iain Lee. Shame he couldn't have found a more popular programme - but top marks for effort nonetheless.

March 2003 - "Loz" on "Question Time" (6th March, BBC1):

Top marks here for primetime positioning, but several points deducted for poor visibility - nonetheless, we feel "Loz" deserves a mention for both (a) letting us know about his appearance in advance, and (b) heeding our advice about wearing the orange 80 million shirt, as the largely black Viral Marketing one might have been almost impossible to identify.

March 2003 - misc shirts in PC Extreme magazine (Issue 3, p18-19): ~

Well obviously we knew about this one in advance, as we had to send them samples, but nice job on the "fashion spread" anyway. Just one question though: couldn't they have found a slightly geekier looking model?

February 2003 - Yoz Grahame on BBC Local London News:

An honorable mention here for FaxYourMP stalwart Yoz, who not only warned us of his appearance in advance but also provided his own ultra-crisp screengrabs. It may just have been a local news programme, but he even came up with a solution to the fact that the story - about how he IRC'd with friends across the world, but had never met his next-door neighbours - was only going to film his back.

Feb 2003 - Danny O'Brien in Marie Claire (cover month March, p109):
(click either thumbnail for still largely-unreadable 300k PNG)

Almost certainly our first ever appearance in a mainstream women's magazine, O'Brien's casual flaunting of the classic Elite design is marred only by the fact that he fails to incorporate any mention of his remarkable attire into the (otherwise quite pedestrian) interview. Must try harder next time!
